NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The state Board of Regents has approved establishment of a business incubator on the campus of Southern University at New Orleans.
Of the estimated $3 million cost of the incubator, $2 million will come from federal sources.
Construction is expected to be completed by 2013.
The incubator will provide a place where classroom education and real-world business practices interface. It will house offices for entrepreneurs as well SUNO faculty and staff.
Approval came at the regents' June meeting.
