In Iowa, dozens of kids spent Saturday afternoon playing Buddy Ball.
Buddy Ball is a baseball game that family members, mentors and kids with special needs take part in.
Its season kicked off April 16th.
Organizers say every year kids look forward to playing outdoors and listening to music while playing ball.
"They are so excited when April comes around. They all have big smiles on their faces," said Joann Meaux, Buddy Ball Organizer.
Meaux says every season the players take part in about eight games at Iowa City Park.
