BRPD: Pregnant woman shot while sitting in car

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A pregnant woman has been shot at least once as she sat inside a car in Baton Rouge.
Police say it happened just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities say the woman drove a few blocks after being hit and was found on Choctaw Road near Scenic Highway.
WAFB-TV reports the woman, whose name has not been released, was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Her condition or that of the fetus was not immediately available.
Meanwhile police are at the scene searching for the shooter.
