Broussard Gets Road Funding

The State Bond Commission has approved several road projects for the City of Broussard. Those projects have received approval for Priority Two funding, which is one-year funding for the planning and design of the projects. Officials say some of the money will be used to make LA 182 a three-lane highway from US 90 to LA 89. This announcement comes one week after Governor Bobby Jindal announced plans to widen a two-mile segment of the proposed I-49 from Ambassador Caffery Parkway to Albertson's Parkway.
