The 2nd Annual Brittany Project Car, Truck, Motorcycle, Tractor and Special Interest Show/Event will be held on March 23, 2013.
The event is a fundraiser for the "Brittany Project," a non-profit organization with efforts of building a facility in Franklin for individuals with disabilities. This facility will be built on donated grounds by Bruce and Sandra Saucier, the parents of Brittany Saucier whom the project is named after.
Brittany is a 24-year-old with Down Syndrome. St Mary Parish does not have any type of facility for strictly the use of recreation, social interaction, educational/informational workshops,family support, calendar based respite services and summer camps.
There will be dances, craft nights, recreation, and building lasting relationships.
The event will offer classic cars, craft vendors, a kids fun area with fun jumps, face painting, rides, Clint Robin a local story teller, cajun food, live entertainment from Johnny Firmin, Danny Crochet and the Cajun Ramblers, Anytime Band and Don Rich, Vertigo, and Shawn Christian and the Copper Line Band, rat rod races, lawn and garden tractor races, and a petting zoo.And the Full Force Dance Team coming in from Slidell with be performing for us. A family fun filled day alongside the Bayou Teche, under the beautiful oaks.
