HOUMA, La. (AP) - Two Terrebonne Parish bridges will get makeovers though the work may take several years to complete.
The Courier reports the Terrebonne Parish Council has approved the work for the Buquet Street and Caroll Street bridges under a federal grant program.
The Buquet Bridge crosses Bayou Terrebonne between west Park and Main streets in Houma. The Caroll Street Bridge crosses Bayou Black near Gibson Elementary School.
The projects are expected to cost about $1.5 million combined.
