BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The A&E cable television show "Breakout Kings" will begin shooting its second season in Baton Rouge next month.
The 10-episode crime drama's producers said Thursday that filming is scheduled to start in October and continue through early 2012 at locations throughout Baton Rouge and at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola.
It is the first television show to get shot in Baton Rouge.
Mayor Kip Holden says the city is gaining a reputation in the film industry, with several big-budget movies being produced there, including "Battle: Los Angeles" and "Twilight: Breaking Dawn."
"Breakout Kings" stars Laz Alonso and Domenick Lombardozzi. The show portrays a squad of U.S. marshals who team up with cons to track down prison escapees in exchange for getting time knocked off their sentences.
