BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The three finalists for the Baton Rouge Community College chancellor position include the current heads of Louisiana Delta Community College in Monroe and SOWELA Technical Community College in Lake Charles.
Delta Chancellor Luke Robins, SOWELA Chancellor Andrea Lewis Miller and Robert Miller, who is vice president for the Golden Triangle Campus and district operations at East Mississippi Community College, are vying for the Baton Rouge Community College job.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System President Joe May said Wednesday all three will participate in candidate forums on Nov. 18.
The Advocate reports the goal is to hire a new chancellor in December.
May said he is pleased the state's community college system is maturing enough that the state is now grooming its own internal candidates.
