Convicted killer Brandon Scott Lavergne is not keeping quiet behind bars. He's filed a handwritten complaint with the D.A.'s office about his living conditions at Angola. Lavergne writes he's in solitary confinement 23 hours a day for his own protection, but he thinks it's for political reasons. He says he was told he "wasn't showing enough remorse for Mickey Shunick and needed to sit in a cell for a while so he could think about it". Lavergne also says he's started a hunger strike on Sunday as a non-violent protest. Lavergne is serving back to back life sentences after confessing to the murders of both Mickey Shunick and Lisa Pate.
