CLINTON, La. (AP) - East Feliciana Parish sheriff's deputies are looking for an East Baton Rouge Parish man indicted last month on a count of vehicular homicide.
A spokesman for Sheriff Talmadge Bunch tells The Advocate 38-year-old Derrick D. Daniel was named in an indictment returned May 7 by an East Feliciana Parish grand jury investigating the Nov. 17 death of 33-year-old Kenneth Taylor Jr., of Baton Rouge.
Sgt. Kevin Garig said sheriff's deputies have been unable to find Daniel since the grand jury reported on the case.
State police say Taylor was a passenger in Daniel's car, which struck a pickup driven by Reggie Wayne Gross Jr. on La. Highway 67 about five miles south of Clinton.
The grand jury also charged Gross with first-offense driving while intoxicated.
