BP Confirmed Oil in Vermilion Parish

Oil has been confirmed in Vermilion Parish near Chenier au Tigre. BP confirmed the oil earlier today. The Vermilion Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness said the oil was cleaned up by this afternoon.
A scare in Forked Island left some concerned. Residents found dead fish carcasses along a waterway. The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said they believe someone gutted the fish and threw them there.
