A Youngsville Middle School student will go to the doctors office instead of class tomorrow morning.
He says he was attacked by bullies and now the police dept. is involved.
KATC'S Mike Magnoli met with the boy and his father today to hear their version of this locker room violence.
"I know a lot so they call me a nerd and stuff,"
13 year old Joseph St. Julien is walking around on crutches this weekend-- Joseph and his dad gabriel took a break from the Saints game to talk with us about an alleged bullying incident that happened at school.
"The coach saw it, some of the kids saw it," Joseph says.
He describes a very mean spirited and vicious attack, he says the bullies ganged up on him and put a bag over his head and hit him with football cleats.
The boy's father tells KATC, "I want answers as to why my son didn't get immediate medical attention."
As 7th grader Joseph tells it, the adults at Youngsville Middle including teachers and office secretaries told Joseph to go back to class as normal, they gave him an icepack and off he went to take a math test- the whole time, with a swollen knee.
According to Joseph it wasn't until he got home did he receive medical attention- his father took him to the hospital.
"After they gave me crutches, the cops came and asked me about what had happened."
Now Joseph has heard police have charged at least one of the kids with assault. KATC could not reach the chief to confirm, so at this time the questions remain: what will the cops do and what will the school do about these bullies?
