Bossier councilman seeks probe of firefighter pay

BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) - A Bossier City councilman's concern over firefighter salaries will come up on Tuesday at a special meeting of the City Council.
The Times reports that Councilman Don Williams wanted to offer a resolution to initiate an investigation into firefighter pay this past week. But he couldn't get the unanimous vote required to get it on the council's meeting agenda.
Williams said he had been approached by several firefighters about discrepancies in their pay stubs. He did not offer additional details.
