A $225,000 bond has been set for an Oberlin couple indicted on second-degree murder charges in the death of the woman's 2-year-old daughter.
The American Press reports Brandi Holyfield and her boyfriend, Bobby J. Davis Jr., remained in the Allen Parish Jail Monday following a bond hearing in state district court.
In addition, Holyfield and Davis also face criminal conspiracy to commit second-degree murder charges in the death of Holyfield's daughter, Tatiana.
The toddler suffered third-degree burns to her back from what investigators say may have been caused by prolonged contact with an electric heater found in the home.
A grand jury indicted the pair on the charges late last week.
