Bond hearing set for former Opelousas councilman

OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) A former Opelousas alderman and Opelousas High School teacher Larry Caillier Jr. will appear before a federal judge Wednesday for a bond hearing.
Caillier was arrested Friday by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on three separate charges involving child pornography.
The Daily World reports Tuesday that little information has been released concerning Caillier's arrest.
Caillier's attorney, Elbert Lee Guillory has declined to comment on the case, citing a gag order, but did say he expected that bond would be set at Wednesday's hearing.
Guillory said his client intends to plead not guilty.
