Crowley police and fire officials are investigating a bomb threat at Crowley Middle School. Acadia Parish Superintendent John Bourque says a parent was notified of a threat made on Facebook. He says that parent then notified authorities, who then evacuated the school. Bourque says 15 students were on campus and have been moved across the street from the school.
Crowley Police Chief K. P. Gibson says the campus has been secured and that an investigation is ongoing. He says a bomb-sniffing dog has been called into to search the school for any explosives.
