According to Town Clerk Danielle Macip, the boil advisory for the Village of Palmetto is lifted.
A boil water advisory was put in place Thursday morning after the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development allegedly ruptured a 6-inch water line on LA. 360.
All repair work was completed late Thursday morning. Tests conducted on water samples Friday establish a negative result for coliform bacteria. Therefore, the water was safe enough for the boil advisory to be lifted Saturday.
