Body of Elderly Women Found at Lake Martin

Shortly after midnight, a St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Deputy while performing routine patrol at Lake Martin discovered the body of a deceased elderly woman. The woman has been identified as Jessie Messex, 83, of Breaux Bridge.
Her cause of death remains under investigation. We will have more on this story as it develops.
