Body of barge worker pulled from Miss. River

JEFFERSON, La. (AP) - The 52-year-old man who died after falling into the Mississippi River has been identified as Larry Hartford of Old Jefferson.
The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office has not yet determined a cause of death.
New Orleans Harbor Police say Hartford was an employee of Zito Fleeting LLC and working on a barge near Causeway Boulevard and River Road. Police say he was last seen around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday when bad weather rolled into the area.
Police say co-workers noticed Hartford missing at about 8 a.m. After searching the area, they spotted him in the water and pulled him out.
The Times-Picayune reports authorities aren't sure whether the death was weather related.
