Body found on path in Baker woods

BAKER, La. (AP) - A man out for a walk discovered the body of a Baker man shot to death.
Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps identified the victim as 19-year-old Joshua Troy Weathersby.
Knaps said information gathered at the scene Thursday suggests Weathersby was killed by a single gunshot, possibly between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The Advocate reports a motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
Knaps says the victim was lying on his back on a wide path in a tree line a short distance south of an Entergy Corp. electric substation off La. Highway 19.
