Body of Mitch Jackson Found in the Vermilion River

Update: Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries confirm agents found the body of Mitch Jackson in the Vermilion River behind 200 Farmington Rd. in Lafayette around 10:15 this morning. Jackson had been missing for six days since Friday after he was involved in a five-car crash on Ambassador Caffery.

A body was found in the Vermilion River around 10:15 a.m., near the 200 block of Farmington Road. Deputies are working to determine the identity of the victim.
