Body found in Beaver Park

Lafayette Police have cordoned off part of Beaver Park on Fisher Street after a man's body was found. The white male with a goatee was discovered around 3:30 Sunday afternoon in the women's restroom.

Police were able to identify him but it's being withheld until his family is notified.His death is being treated at a homicide.

Meanwhile, police are looking for the man's vehicle. It's a 1999 white Chevrolet Suburban with Louisiana plate KHA-792. It has slight damage to front bumper, and instead of a hatchback it has two doors that open in back.
