Body discovered near post office

LAFAYETTE, LA. (AP) - Lafayette Police are investigating the death of a man whose body that was found lying on the side walk near the post office.
A news release says that the body of 30-year-old Russell Lambert Jr., was found about 2 a.m. Monday.
The body was spotted by a witness driving by the location.
Investigators believe Lambert died from a stab wound, but are waiting for the official cause of death to be determined by the Lafayette Parish Coroner's Office.
