Millions of people around the country set their alarms early Friday morning; all to try to catch some of the best deals on their holiday wish list.
The big question: Do the sales really make a big difference? After all, some shoppers racked-up a lengthy bill.
"550-dollars." Leslie Beckman said, "but that's my entire list."
Shoppers like Beckman, who got out of bed bright and early to tackle her holiday gift list. Her secret:
"Coffee was a priority," Beckman said.
An absolute must for shoppers when doors open at 5 AM. But is it worth the hassle to get to the stores so early?
Rikki Manahan says it is and she missed out.
"We missed some deals here at Best Buy because we got here later," Manahan said.
Shoppers came to the stores early to catch some of the hottest deals and some of the best deals out there are on televisions and home theater systems- some of them selling at more than half off.
"My family thought I was crazy." Beckman says, "but I got it all done in one day and for cheaper than I would have."
More than 200 people lined up outside some local stores just for the chance at catching one of these deals. Deals some shoppers may have to wait until next year to see.
