Black Elk Energy Suspends Search Efforts

Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations, LCC has suspended its search and rescue efforts for Jerome Malgapo, a worker from the Philippines who went missing after Friday's platform fire. After an exhaustive search, the company working with a number of agencies, was unable to locate the missing man.

Black Elk Energy released the following statement: "We will continue to remain focused on the victims and their families, including those injured in the incident. An official investigation is underway and we will continue to cooperate with all authorities as this process develops"

In all the platform fire sent 11 people to the hospital. The body of 42 year old Elroy Corporal, also of the Philippines, was found over the weekend.
