Even from behind bars, former Governor Edwin Edwards is making news. Monday, a biography on Edwards hit bookstores.
The four-term governor changed the landscape of Louisiana politics forever, and many people, including those closest to him, are interested in reading his story.
"Edwin Edwards is one of a kind, there are two kinds of people in the world, those who hate him, and those who love him," said Edwards's younger brother Marion Edwards.
The 650 page book is the former governor's official biography, and includes jailhouse interviews. Marion Edwards was also interviewed, and hopes it will set the record straight on his brother's politics and character.
"I think it's going to reveal to the public what his true character is, and those who doubt will find out what it is and I think it's going to be a good thing," Marion Edwards said.
Edwin Edwards is currently serving a 10-year sentence for a bribery and extortion scheme. He is expected to be released in July, 2011.
