Bike ride honors Calcasieu fatal accident victim

MOSS BLUFF, La. (AP) - Calcasieu Parish bicycle riders gathered for a memorial ride after a weekend accident killed a Moss Bluff physician.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's officials say Dr. Mario Beltran, was riding his bicycle early Saturday when a pickup truck struck him from behind.
Charges against the driver were pending, according to KPLC TV.
More than 50 cyclists showed up for Sunday's memorial ride.
The riders rode past the crash site on a route that covered about 15 miles.
