It was an action packed evening at the Cajundome Monday night, as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) took over Lafayette. Thousands of fans came from all across the state, waited hours in line and even made costumes and signs, all to be part of the live action that is WWE.

The day started early, as wrestlers worked out at Red's gum in Lafayette. This was also the first stop for fans. Some kids showed up at 4:00 a.m. to get autographs and pictures with the wrestlers.

"Anytime we can put a smile on a kids face it's a good day," said Superstar WWE wrestler CM Punk.

Meanwhile, lines of excited fans started stacking up at the Cajundome. Joseph Bertrand and his family waited for about three hours.

"To be first in line, merchandise, first to the seats, nothing better than that," said Bertrand.

Cheering on these superstar wrestlers in the ring has also become a family affair.

"It's my little boys first time and he's got a personal favorite so it's going to be awesome," said Bertrand.

"All our family loves the wrestling, we're all into the wrestling," said WWE Fan Nicole Harrison.

And this was no ordinary match, it was a Monday Night Raw Superstar Show that determined a new champion, certainly a reason why so many people came out.
