Big Tex, the 52-foot statue that greeted visitors to the Texas State Fair, has been reduced to it's wire skeleton after a fire engulfed it earlier this morning. According to WFAA, fair organizers say an electrical shortage caused the fire. No one was injured, and the fairgrounds remained open while firefighters worked to put out the blaze. The fair was celebrating Big Tex's 60th birthday.
