Here's a look now at the big 3 races to be decided on today for Louisiana.
First up the race for the U.S. Senate in a field of 12 there are 2 front-runners, incumbent Senator David Vitter is facing his biggest challenge from Democrat, Congressman Charlie Melancon.
Melancon is vacating his seat in Congress. The race for his seat in the 3rd Congressional District is between Democrat Ravi Sangisetty and Republican Jeff Landry from New Iberia.
And finally the race for Lieutenant Governor, Democrat Caroline Fayard is in a runoff against Republican and current Secretary of State Jay Dardenne.
