Better chance for showers and thunderstorm starting tomorrow as a wave of energy continues to drift westward. Daytime heating and abundant moisture helping in development. Wet weather looks to stay on the higher side thanks to a shortwave expecting to move southward on Saturday and stalling over southern Louisiana on Sunday. This should keep rain chances around the 50/50 mark for both days.
Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms could accompany development tomorrow through the weekend. Strong storms will not be ruled out as heating/lifting could produce gusty winds. Keep this in mind for outdoor weekend plans! Otherwise, extra clouds and rain cooled air should allow temps near the upper 80s. Back to typical summer conditions by early next week as Bermuda ridge re-establishes which will keep 20/30% afternoon rain chances and daytime highs back in the low 90s.
