Beginner Japanese course offered at UL Lafayette

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Continuing Education department will offer a Beginner Japanese course.

No prior experience speaking Japanese is required to sign up for the course, which covers introductions and casual conversations.

Beginner Japanese will meet from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesdays from Jan. 30 to March 20.

"The Japanese language opens you up to a wonderful world of film, literature, culture and business," said Margaret Beard of the UL Lafayette Continuing Education department.

Cost of the course is $74.
