You can be a Santa To A Senior!
Home Instead Senior Care has joined local Council on Aging agencies to provide gifts to seniors who otherwise might not receive a gift this holiday season. Prior to the holiday season, local non-profits will identify needy and isolated seniors in the community and provide names to Home Instead Senior Care for this community service program. Christmas trees which will go up in the J.C. Penney's in Acadiana Mall and in local Stage stores on November 12th, 2010 and feature ornaments with the first names only of the seniors and their respective gift requests. Holiday shoppers can pick up an ornament, buy items on the list and return them unwrapped to the store, along with the ornament attached. Home Instead Senior Care volunteers will collect, wrap and distribute the gifts. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting a senior or seniors please visit J.C.Pennes or Stage Stores. Businesses and offices are encouraged to contact the local Home Instead Senior Care office about adopting groups of seniors, or to make cash donations or donations of the most commonly requested gifts.
