Bayou Country Superfest expands to three days for the first time this coming Memorial Day weekend thanks to a move made to accommodate headliner George Strait's schedule. That means Tiger Stadium will be turned into a cathedral dedicated not to football but to country music May 23, 24 and 25, and tickets are still on sale.
In addition to Strait, the lineup also includes Reba, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Chris Young, the Florida Georgia Line, Lee Brice, Easton Corbin, Gloriana, Louisiana native Hunter Hayes, Big & Rich and Joe Nichols.
The festival celebrates its fifth year in 2014, and little has changed in layout of the giant, arena-style country music performance since its inception. (High-fidelity purists, however, might note some sonic changes in Tiger Stadium thanks to the addition of new seating currently under construction in the upper-decks on the south end zone.)
