Federal prosecutors say a 28-year-old Baton Rouge man with a violent criminal past has been sentenced to more than 22 years in prison for his role in a home-invasion conspiracy aimed at stealing drugs.
Interim U.S. Attorney Walt Green tells The Advocate Chris Williams pleaded guilty in January to plotting to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possessing a firearm while a convicted felon.
U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick sentenced Williams to in prison on Wednesday.
