BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 27-year-old Baton Rouge man has been indicted in the Feb. 28 shooting death of his former girlfriend in her home.
An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged Johnny Ray Blakes with second-degree murder Wednesday in the death of 25-year-old Rochel Christal.
Police have said Blakes is accused of kicking in the front door of Christal's home and shooting her multiple times.
The Advocate reports Blakes' case has been assigned to state District Judge Chip Moore.
