Today, detectives with the Lafayette field office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigation arrested a Baton Rouge man for several charges involving indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Yesterday, while working undercover in various on-line chat rooms, troopers posing as a 14-year-old girl say they were contacted by 58-year-old Allen Bobbett of Baton Rouge. During the course of the chat, Bobbett allegedly began a sexually explicit conversation. Troopers say Bobbett requested nude photos of the girl, and sent sexually explicit videos to her. He also asked the 14-year-old, he thought he was chatting with, if he could meet her in person.

Today, troopers tell us Bobbett drove from Baton Rouge to Lafayette to meet the girl. When he arrived at an undisclosed location in Lafayette, Bobbett was taken into custody by troopers and officers with the Lafayette Police Department's newly formed Cyber Crimes Division. He was booked into Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for possession of child pornography, indecent behavior with a juvenile, and computer aided solicitation of a minor.
