Baton Rouge bank robbed

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who robbed a Whitney Bank branch.
Sheriff's office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks tells The Advocate the robbery took place around 2 p.m. Thursday at a branch on Jefferson Highway.
Hicks says a man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money.
She says the robber ran out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash some of which he dropped in a nearby parking lot.
