Plenty of police activity along Johnston Street in Lafayette Saturday morning.
Police were called to the Capital One Bank, the alarm sounding but this story, isn't what you might be thinking.
Thankfully there was not a robbery at the Capital One Bank on Johnston and Doucet Road in Lafayette, but one customer inside got quite the scare.
I was on my way to an assignment around noon, when I saw a lot of police activity at the bank, so I pulled over to check it out. A customer and her coworker were going to make a transaction and when they walked inside, the back was empty.
At first they thought the bank was being robbed and immediately called 911, but Lafayette PD says employees forgot to lock the doors.
Some banks are open on Saturday, but this particular branch is only open Monday through Friday.
