MERMENTAU, La. (AP) Authorities are looking for two men they say held up a rural Acadia Parish bank at gun point and escaped on a motorcycle.
The robbery happened at about 10:30 a.m. Monday when two men entered the Bank of Commerce and Trust Co. in Mermentau (MER'-men-tah).
Authorities say the men left the bank on a yellow-and-gray older model motorcycle with an undisclosed amount of money.
A Jefferson Davis Parish sheriff's deputy reportedly found the motorcycle abandoned a short time later just west of Mermentau.
Deputies say the robbers were reportedly wearing Mardi Gras-type masks, black gloves and black hooded jackets.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
