Backhoe stuck in mud leads to employee arrest

MONROE, La. (AP) - A 39-year-old West Monroe man has been arrested after allegedly using his employer's backhoe without permission and getting it stuck in the mud.

The News-Star reports Jason Edward Banks is accused of unauthorized use of a moveable and damage to property.

The police report stated Banks got a vehicle stuck Monday and took the backhoe to pull it out. Then the backhoe became stuck.

Banks was taken to Ouachita Correctional Center Banks released on $12,500 bond.

It couldn't be determined if Banks had an attorney.
