ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (AP) - Authorities continue to search for the man who escaped from the West Feliciana Parish jail.
Sheriff J. Austin Daniel says that 45-year-old David St. Germain, a trusty, pulled the chain-link wire mesh of an exercise yard fence apart Sunday night, allowing him to reach an
animal control pen. Daniel said St. Germain then pulled razor wire apart at the top of another fence to escape.
Sheriff's office records show St. Germain was a state prisoner allowed to participate in a work release program, but was arrested
in February for allegedly burglarizing his employer's business.
