A recent audit of the St. Landry Parish Community Action Agency found that the organization is $500,000 to $700,000 in the hole. Parish President Bill Fontenot says the auditor found funds that were supposed to go to citizens were transferred between different programs and projects. Fontenot says the parish government is still investigation the agency and is working with the federal government on how the parish can pay back the deficit. Last August, Fontenot placed CAA executive director Donald Robinson on administrative leave.
