TIOGA, La. (AP) - Authorities say a Rapides Parish school system
employee resigned after an audit discovered that she took nearly
$20,000 from the Tioga Elementary School Parent-Teacher
Organization bank account.
The information surfaced during an annual financial audit of the Rapides Parish School
District.
According to the recently released report, the female employee
resigned from the school and paid back all of the money.
The PTO account is separate from the school's bank account.
Rapides Parish District Attorney James Downs said the case is
still ongoing.
The name of the woman accused of taking the money has not been
made public.
