Attempted murder upgraded to murder in life partner's death

A Duson man charged with attempted murder over the weekend is now facing a 2nd degree murder charge after his life partner died from his injuries to his head.
Clayton Matthews, Jr. Was arrested Saturday. Randy Bordelon died Sunday at a Lafayette hospital. According to Duson Police Chief Frank Andrew, Clayton Matthews Jr. called paramedics saying Bordelon fell and hit his head.
