Athens teen dies in one-vehicle crash

MINDEN, La. (AP) - State police say an Athens teen died in a single-vehicle crash on Goodwill Road in Webster Parish west of Minden.
Investigators say 18-year-old Holly B. Romano was driving north on Goodwill Road Sunday when she approached the intersection of La. Highway 528.
Troopers say she drove through the intersection, then veered off the right side of the road, rolled through a ditch and hit a tree head-on.
State police don't know why Romano veered off the road.
She wasn't wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
