The Atchafalaya River in Morgan City is above flood stage. Flood stage is four feet, and it's barely impacting some of the shipyards along the river in Berwick and Morgan City, National Weather Service hydrologist Jonathan Brazzell said. The forecast is for it begin to fall. "Looks like it hit its peak from the rain event way up North a few weeks ago," Brazzell said. During the 2011 flood, the Atchafalaya River crested at 10.35 feet.
