At a special hearing Monday at the Louisiana State Police Troop I Headquarters building in Lafayette, the Commissioner of the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC) Commissioner Troy Hebert imposed penalties on five Acadiana businesses.
The Keg, located at 115 McKinley Street, Lafayette, had their alcohol and tobacco permits revoked for two years and were assessed a $15,000 fine for five counts of allegedly selling alcohol to underage individuals and five counts of having minors on the premise. This was The Keg's fifth offense.
Tuffy's Quick Stop 2, located at 1737 N. University Ave., Lafayette, also had their permit revoked for two years for their alleged fifth offense alcohol sale to an individual under the age of 21.
Jersey's Daiquiris Sports Bar, located at 811 Albertsons Pkwy., Ste. P, Broussard, was assessed a $5000 fine for their alleged third offense alcohol sale to a person under 21.
Arcadian Bar and Grill, located at 302 Jefferson Street, Lafayette, was also assessed a $5000 fine for their alleged third offense alcohol sale to a person under 21.
Club Riches, located at 2415 S. MacArthur Drive, Alexandria, was charged with their alleged third offense underage sale and an alleged second offense for having a minor on premises which resulted in a $5000 fine.
