Disciplinary action is pending against several Alcohol and Tobacco Control agents who allegedly abused cell phone privileges. Commissioner Troy Hebert says an audit found eight agents racked up a total of nearly 11,000 minutes in personal cell phone calls on their work phones last month, with nearly 4900 minutes in calls being made while they were on the job. Hebert says one agent alone racked up 3000 minutes on his work phone, with half of those minutes being used while working.
