ATC audited by LA state legislative auditor

Acadiana Technical College system has been audited by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor on several points. The report claims that a former C.B. Coreil campus assistant dean improperly certified hours worked by a contracted employee who preformed information technology services. The college management estimates that the employee received overpayment of approximately $12,816. The misappropriation was not reported as required by state law.
Also, for the fourth consecutive audit, the college did not maintain sufficient control over the Federal Pell Grant Program. The miscalculations of returns resulted from an incorrect calculation of the semester days for spring 2011.
